Red lights are a gig photographers worst enemy, they make photos look awful plus more than often end up in loss of detail & an image which really cannot be saved....
The topic came up in a forum linked here (need to register) about how to salvage boring photos in the post processing stage, I showed my before & after image from my shoot with Chimaira supporting Korn last year at the Sydney Entertainment Ctr & got a few responses asking what my methods were in saving the shot.
Anyone that has spoken to me regarding photoshop etc would know that I hate editing & really don't know anything in depth about the program or photo manipulation/touch ups etc...however I've come to realise that the hue/saturation tool can be damn handy, and this really is the thing that saved the image as you can see below.
I spose you could also just shoot RAW, but that's another debate...I shoot JPEG for gigs, end of discussion
